We recently learned that Edgar Wright is attached to direct the big screen adaptation of Kolchak: The Night Stalker, with Johnny Depp in line to play the title character of Carl Kolchak.
Today we have word that a writer has been found for the project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, D.V. DeVincentis (Gross Pointe Blank) has been tapped to pen The Night Stalker for Disney.
