Director Darren Lynn Bousman explores the so-called "11:11" phenomenon with this enigmatic thriller concerning a best-selling author who stumbles upon a life-changing secret. Upon returning home to bid his father farewell, Joseph also reconnects with his wheelchair-bound brother, Samuel, also a man of the cloth. Now, the longer Joseph remains in town, the more frequently the numbers "11:11" begin appearing to him in a vivid series of hallucinations and nightmares. Meanwhile, the congregation of a nearby church begins to experience an onslaught of inexplicable supernatural events. As November of 2011 draws near, it becomes obvious to Joseph that something truly profound is set to occur. "The Innkeepers"

The Innkeepers,” the latest horror film by Ti West, hits DVD and Blu-ray on April 24, 2012. West, who previously directed the wonderful throwback horror movie, “The House of the Devil,” continues his pattern of making old school haunting horror films with this effort.

Synopsis: Set in the venerable Yankee Pedlar Inn, which is about to shut its doors for good after over a century of service. Believed by many to be one of New England's "most haunted hotels," the last remaining employees, Claire and Luke are determined to uncover proof before it shuts down for good. As the Inn's final days draw near, odd guests check in as the pair of minimum wage "ghost hunters" begin to experience strange and alarming events that may ultimately cause them to be mere footnotes in the hotel's long unexplained history.

West followed up his breakthrough film, “The House of the Devil,” with a campy sequel to “Cabin Fever,” which moved slightly away from the gory original and made it a more horror-comedy. “The Innkeepers” marks his return to his classical ‘70s style, slow-burn hottor. Sara Paxton (“The Last House on the Left) and Pat Healy (“Rescue Dawn”) star in the movie Roger Ebert said “knows how to build suspense with quiet and timing.”

Mothers's Day Remake

I’ve heard a few rumblings regarding Darren Lynn Bousman’s remake of Mother’s Day. Some seem to like it while others have panned it, I have to say that I am intrigued and it looks like a stellar ride.

Soon this one will be unleashed in the States as Anchor Bay will release the flick in select theatres on May 4th followed by a DVD & Blu-ray release on May 8th.

While we wait until next month, we have been provided with two new clips which you can view below, give them a watch and let us know what you think.

“Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III and IV) with story and screenplay by Scott Milam based on the original Mother’s Day written by Charles Kaufman and Warren Leight, Mother’s Day is a graphic remake of the Troma horror classic. After a bank robbery gone wrong, three brothers go home to hide out… only to discover that Mother (Rebecca De Mornay) lost their house in a foreclosure. The new owners and their party guests become the depraved brothers’ unwitting hostages. Their sadistic Mother soon arrives and brilliantly takes control of the situation, ratcheting up the terror. As the hostages struggle desperately to survive the harrowing torture, they realize that there is nothing a Mother won’t do to protect her children.”
